‘Id Mubarak

‘Id Mubarak

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

As Salaam Alaikum & 'Id Mubarak!

Praise be to Allah, today is the last day of fasting! We trust you have had a blessed Holy Month of Ramadan! We hope that your Ramadan has been a joyful, successful and reflective experience!

Muslims around the world will begin to celebrate 'Id in various locations tomorrow, Friday, June 15th marking the completion of The Ramadan Fasting. Tomorrow during daylight hours Muslims resume the intake of liquids and our meal, as prescribed by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's How to Eat to Live.

The end of the Holy Month of Ramadan is observed with a communal prayer called the Festival of Renewal or Festival of Breaking of the Fast (Salat-ul-'Id-Al-Fitr). The Muslim community will gather throughout Chicago locations and the world to observe the prayer to celebrate this Holy occasion. Celebrations will continue through Monday for the 3 days of 'Id and beyond.

'Id Al-Fitr Prayer will be held at Mosque Maryam Musala - Friday, June 15, 2018 at 9:00AM.

Please make every effort to come to participate in 'Id Prayer at Mosque Maryam and join us
on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in celebration for 'Id Celebration / Family Fun Day in Jackson Park.

Let us continue to give thanks to Allah for having guided us and granted us His many Blessings!
