“Certainly the first house appointed for men is the one at Bakkah, blessed and a guidance for the nations. In it are clear signs: (It is) the Place of Abraham; and whoever enters it is safe; and pilgrimage to the House is a duty which men owe to Allah — whoever can find a way to it. And whoever disbelieves, surely Allah is above need of the worlds.”
~ Holy Quran 3:96-97
We trust this message reaches you in the very best of health and spirit!
We extend a Blessed 'Id Al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) commemorating the 10th day of the lunar calendar month of Hajj - Dhul-Hijjah, this Friday July 31, 2020 at 9 AM CST.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad writes, "...Gathering of all people living in the same vicinity five times daily in the Mosque, is a help to the establishment of healthy social relations. In the daily service these relations are limited to a narrow circle, i.e., to members of the same neighborhood. But the circle becomes wider in the weekly Friday service which gathers together all Muslim members of a particular locality and become still wider, in the two great "Id" gatherings. Thus, prayer promotes social relations between the different sections of the Muslim community. Far more important that this, however, is the leveling of social differences brought about by means of congregational prayer. Once within the doors of the Mosque, every Muslim feels himself in an atmosphere of equality and love." The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Message to the Blackman, pg. 138.
We continue to give thanks to Allah for having Guided us and Granted us His many Blessings! Due to Covid-19, ‘Id prayer service will be webcasted live on NOI.org from Mosque Maryam- Friday, July 31st at 9 AM CST.
